After graduating college, I packed up my (too much) stuff and headed to Portland, OR– currently referred to by some as The US’s Greenest City where it was easy to become even more inspired by the green movement that I became mesmerized with in the later years of school.
I’m constantly making a lot of small changes in my lifestyle habits that I will document here, and spend a lot of time reading up on current sustainability issues and investigating what’s in the food I’m eating. This blog serves as a vehicle to share these sustainable insights I experience/read/discover with you, along with having them recorded to track my own progress and thoughts.
I’ve worked at a non-profit energy efficiency consulting firm on a statewide energy-saving project and a rebate program promoting energy-saving appliances, at a green retail store, and spent a season living and working off the grid in a back-country facility run on solar power with composting toilets. In the future I’d like to combine my business background, passion for the environment, and sense of adventure into helping people make sustainable behavioral changes.
